The Commonwealth Business Council is delighted to be hosting the fourth annual West Africa Investment Forum in Abuja, Nigeria, 30 March - 1 April 2009.

This forum forms part of the continuing Africa Investment Series – a unique private-public programme onbusiness and investment, which CBC launched in 2002, and has since helped mobilise investment in eleven African countries.

The West African Investment Forum will contribute by setting remedial and urgent measures to the global financial crisis which has an immense adverse effect on economies of developing countries - Tanzania and Sierra Leone included.

Building on CBC’s reputation to host 35 of the most eminent and influential speakers in West Africa, this year you will benefit by interacting with a number of new speakers, including delegations from The Republic of Sierra Leone headed by Hon. David Carew, Minister of Trade and Industry, and Hon. Dr. Mary M. Nagu (MP), Minister for Industry, Trade and Marketing of the United Republic of Tanzania. Amongst other topics, you'll hear how you can take advantage of our last session on trade: “Strengthening Intra Africa Trade: High Level Roundtable on ECOWAS- SADC Business Cooperation”.

What will the forum include ?

• PPPs for infrastructure Development
• Trade Finance
• Agricultural Investment
• Trade Single Market
• Anti-corruption and Good Governance

This forum will provide a unique platform to engage with the Government and provide unrivalled networking opportunities in the region.
